General Ellison Capers Camp #1212
The General Ellison Capers Camp was chartered on November 30th 1995, with seventeen charter members. The camp members elected to name their camp after the deactivated United Confederate Veterans’ General Ellison Capers Camp #1212, which was originally in Moncks Corner, S.C.
The General Ellison Capers Camp has been recognized as the 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 Camp of the Year for the South Carolina Division; and the Camp of the Year at the 2003 and 2004 National Conventions.
The camp has also been awarded 1st place for Scrap Book of the Year for 1997, 1999 and 2003.
